DevTools & HR Tech Platform CometLabs bags funding from SucSEED Indovation & CIE IIIT Hyderabad!!
Cometlabs is a platform that organizes coding competitions to test a developer’s skills in 100+ frameworks, along with just coding skills. Cometlabs has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from SucSEED Indovation Fund and CIE-IIIT Hyderabad as part of its pre-seed round.
Cometlabs has uniqueness in technology and expansion plans. Most of the HR tech startups offer only a job listing platform to connect both employer and employee while this startup is providing end to end services by offering CV Scanner, Projects Evaluation and Coding Arena to write codes live on the screen and they will scale with building a strong community & college partnerships.
Cometlabs offers revolutionary tech, while other platforms exist to test coding skills, Cometlabs tests the developer’s framework skills, along with their coding skills. This helps recruiters conduct a more complete evaluation of a developer.
Cometlabs is founded by Prashant Katiyar and Rishika Kumari. Prashant is studying B. Tech. from IIIT Guwahati. He has been building apps from the age of 17 and he has 3 years of experience as a Senior Developer. Additionally, he built a community of 6,000+ developers from IITs/IIITs. Rishika is studying B.Tech. at IIIT Dharwad. She has 2+ years of experience in sales and lead generation. Prior to Cometlabs, she built a startup at the age of 18 which was incubated at IIM-A.
Speaking on the investment, Vikrant Varshney Co-Founder & Managing Partner of SucSEED Indovation Fund, said, “According to a report by Fortune Business Insights, The COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented opportunities for HRTech players in the long-term. The market is expected to grow to $35.66 Bn in 2038. As such, we are very happy to invest into Cometlabs which is positioned as an HR Tech platform that hosts CodingArenas that help recruiters identify suitable developers/candidates better.”
“During Covid Pandemic, in March 2020, as a freshman at IIIT Guwahati, I started a community of student developers from different IIITs and NITs and other institutes. We mentored each other, did a lot of freelancing together with startups and identified their problems in hiring tech talents. We’re an 8000+ folks developer community now,” said Prashant CEO and Co-Founder of CometLabs.
“A few months later in October 2021, I was joined by Rishika, a sophomore at IIIT Dharwad and we started CometLabs. Later we were accompanied by our founding members, Shivam Soni, Manish Kumar, and Vineel Sai”, he further added.
